Answers to questions for doll hat commissions...... I am sure you will have............
DESIGNING...(the fun part..) You will find hats on my website that have already been made. Some of them are regular items in my portfolio. For these items I just need a color and some direction for trims.
A more involved avenue is for you to describe an item, and I will try to draw up a sketch to email to you for approval. It may just be something you have dreamed up in your head.
Another way would be for you to send me a picture of something you have seen. I will not replicate another persons doll hat design, but will try to come up with something with the same feel to satisfy the look you desire. Again, I will send you a final sketch for your approval.
PAYMENT:... I will quote you a price after we have made a decision on the style, fabric, and trims. That price will remain the same to the end, unless we add more detail. If that be the case we will discuss this as we go along. I do not take a deposit before I start a project. Payment is requested after I have finished the hat , I email you a picture, and you have approved the finished item. I require payment to be made through Pay Pal.
USA SHIPPING ... I do most of my USA First class shipping in a 6 x 6" box and my Priority shipping in a 7" x 7" box. Shipping for First Class is 3.00 and Priority is 6.00. Delivery confirmation is included in either of these services. Insurance is extra and the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is lost in the mail, it is a loss to the buyer. This is a rarity, but I must let you know this information.
OVERSEAS SHIPPING .... In most cases I ship International First Class, which averages about 10.00 depending on the country. I will try to get very close on overseas shipping, but sometimes when I get to the post office it can be more. I do not charge a service charge, but will pass any overages for shipping to the buyer. I charge only the exact shipping to the nearest dollar. I cannot put a different amount evaluation on your package for customs. That can work out badly. If there is any other way you suggest, depending on your country, please let me know. Splitting up your order can be a possibility. ..........Yes, I have had 2 overseas packages go missing, never to be found. There is no way to track overseas packages except for very expensive services. Loss of an item would be the buyers responsibility. Hopefully it will never happen again.
PACKAGING...Be confident that your little treasure will be stuffed and carefully package in cellophane in case at your place of delivery.
RETURNS ... I am happy to say that this has not been as issue so far. I try very hard to make sure we go over all details, and have dolls here that help me in sizing... along with your giving me measurements. But, if I should send you something you are not very pleased with, I will gladly refund your money. If we both do our part at the designing stage, this should never be an issue.
AFTER YOU RECIEVE YOUR ITEM.... I would love to have a picture ! That really is the fun part !
